Bio Mulch Film

Chapelton are thrilled to offer an innovative biodegradable mulch film, after recently partnering with the market leader

The practice of mulching consists of a ground-covering technique utilising plastic film. There are many advantages to this, such as weed control, soil moisture balance, preservation from erosion and compaction of the soil, and regulation of the soil temperature. The problem however with this plastic film is that it requires removal and disposal after every use, this means more work for the farmers and more plastics sent to landfill.

Eiffel have a environmentally conscious solution to this, they have combined the classic film with Multibio – a biodegradable film which eliminates the need for removal and disposal. This film can be ploughed into the soil after use and is metabolised by bacteria, breaking down naturally.
